現代の世相を取り入れ、奥村さん自身が再構築。オフセットやジークレーでは再現できない、シルクスクリーン・インクの鮮やかな発色と質感が圧倒的！

奥村靫正・本人による作品解説：
この『パパ・ヘミングウェイ』のレコード・ジャケットは、色がウクライナの国旗にも見えるので、反戦をテーマにしようと思いました。
ただ、「戦争反対」という大前提を踏まえたとしても、直接的に反対という表明をしても、なかなか人の心に訴えるものにはなりません。そこで、コピーとして「The World Is Not Enough」という言葉を選びました。
その意味を直訳すれば、「世界は満たされていない」「世界は未完成だ」ということになるでしょう。しかし実はこの言葉、人気映画シリーズ『007』のタイトルにも使われており、そこではボンド家の家訓という設定になっています。ただ、それもオリジナルではなく、元々は紀元前に世界を制したアレクサンドル大王の有名な言葉なのだとか。「世界を征服してもまだ足りない」という意味で言われたことだと解釈されているようです。尽きることのない征服欲は、古今東西を問わず、人間の性（サガ）ということなのでしょう。
こうした表現を含め、他の２つのreconstruction作品と違ってメッセージ性のあるポスターをイメージしたかったので、かなり大きなサイズに仕上げています。

奥村靫正・本人によるジャケットデザイン解説：
1970年から『WORKSHOP MU!!』というグループで仕事をしていたのですが、それが解散したのが1976年。この頃から一人で仕事をするようになり、すぐに請けた作品が『パパ・ヘミングウェイ』です。
当時、加藤和彦くんは、バハマにあるコンパス・ポイント・スタジオへ録音に行っていました。このスタジオは機材や技術者のレベルが世界的にも注目されていましたが、そこを彼が選んだ。そこでコンパス・ポイントということで、ヤシの木と島の三角形をデザインしました。バハマとアーネスト・ヘミングウェイから連想した「海」「太陽」「男」もイメージしています。
ちなみにこの作品、パッと見ると大きな直線が入って見えますが、実はそうではないんです。今ならMacintoshですぐ描けますが、当時は相当大きな定規を使ってカーブを描いています。
平面を使ったシンプルなデザインは自分では初めてだったので、当時は非常に満足した思い出があります。70年代後半の私の代表作です。

Artist’s Commentary by Yuzumasa Okumura:
The color of the record jacket for "Papa Hemingway" looks like the Ukrainian flag, so I decided to go with an anti-war theme.
However, while the basic premise is "against war," it is difficult to appeal to people's hearts and minds by directly expressing opposition to it. So, I chose the words "The World Is Not Enough" as the message.A literal translation of its meaning would be "the world is unfulfilled" or "the world is incomplete." However, this phrase is actually used in the title of the popular movie series "007," where it is the family motto of the Bond family. However, it is not original either. It was originally a famous phrase of Alexander the Great, who conquered the world in BC. It is interpreted to mean, "Conquering the world is not enough (for him)." The never-ending desire to conquer is a saga of human nature, no matter where they come from.
Including these expressions, unlike the other two reconstruction works, I wanted to create something that was like a poster with an underlying message, so I made it quite large in size.

Cover Design Commentary by Yuzumasa Okumura:
I had been working as a member of the group "WORKSHOP MU!" since 1970, and it was in 1976 that the group disbanded. I started working alone around that time, and soon after I started working on "Papa Hemingway".
At the time, Kazuhiko Kato went to Compass Point Studio in the Bahamas to record the songs. The quality of the equipment and the technicians at this studio was world-renowned, and he chose to go there. So I designed a triangle of palm trees and islands as Compass Point. I was also inspired by "sea," "sun," and "man," which I associated with the Bahamas and Ernest Hemingway.
By the way, this work may appear to have a large straight line in it at a quick glance, but actually it does not. Nowadays, it can be drawn quickly using a Macintosh, but at that time, I used a very large ruler to draw the curves.
It was the first time for me to create a simple design using a flat surface, and I remember being very satisfied with it at the time. This is one of my best works from the late 70's.
